Massage Descriptions

**Read the following to see which massage or add-on is right for you!**

Swedish: This is the most common type of massage. Gentle movements and long slow massage strokes are utilized to help you relax. Gentle stretching can also be used. Great for those that don't like deep work, or for when you just want to relax the mind and the body. Uses long gliding strokes in the direction of blood returning to the heart.

Deep Tissue: Targets the deep layers of muscles and surrounding tissues. Long slow DEEP strokes to target the inner layers of muscle and connective tissue. Compressions to areas that are tense and sore. Great for athletes, physical labor jobs, chronic pain sufferers. Can be full body or specific areas. 

NMT: This is a specific massage for 1 area. There is a routine for each part of the body and injury. It includes myofascial stretching, skin rolling, and compressions in a timed routine. This is NOT full body and is only intended for injuries and limited ROM. 

Cupping: Therapeutic technique that utilizes a vacuum force created beneath a cup applied to the skin.. Helps increase blood flow, lymph drainage, loosens scar tissue and adhesions, increases ROM. 

Ashiatsu: See next page for ashi description. 

Dry Brushing: Gently supports your bodys natural detoxification pathways, improves skin health, increases blood flow, helps with lymph drainage. Long strokes beginning at the feet and moving upward towards the heart with a special brush. Followed by light massage with a mint body cream.

Body Contouring: Using cups to help "contour" the body in areas of "solid bloat". Great before vacations, events, pre weight loss surgery and post. Helps tighten and firm the skin, flush out excess fluid, and can done full body or specific targeted areas. 

Lymphatic Drainage: Cups are used to reach the deep layers of lymph that run through the body. Great for inflammation, edema, ROM issues, and more. Can also include manual lymph drainage. 

Raindrop Technique: This massage utilizes 9 different essential oils that are applied first to the feet and then "dropped" over the spine and lightly massaged in. Can be custom tailored to each person and your issues with different oils. These oils have antiviral, antibacterial, and anti-inflammatory properties. Please let me know when you book your issues so I can have the appropriate oils ready. *YOU CAN NOT GET THIS DONE WHILE SICK* 

Sinus: Helps the sinuses to drain using manual lymph drainage techniques.  Cups are sometimes used as well. 

Face Lift: Uses facial cups to help stimulate collagen, reduce wrinkles and fine lines, lift and tone the skin. Perfect for before events! 

Magnet Therapy: Uses small cups that have powerful magnets inside. These magnets help with nerve issues and muscle restrictions. 

Kinesio Taping: Taping for different areas of the body due to injuries. The tape lasts about 5-7 days before being removed.
